Wenger Gallery Offers
Tour Group Options for 2008
Meet Amish Artist Susie Riehl
Wenger Gallery will host your group for a personal meeting with artist Susie Riehl. She will present a lively talk about the history of her unusual painting career, the cultural influences on her work, and a demonstration of her painting technique. She will also sign and personalize originals, prints, and note cards, which are available for sale. This event is free; there is no charge for the meeting with Susie.
Meet Artist Elsie Beiler
Lancaster County artist
Elsie Beiler, creator of “Happier Days”, the work inspired by the tragic events at West Nickel Mines Amish School in Lancaster County in 2006, is also available to meet with your group. Elsie shares how the painting became a symbol of the community’s acceptance and forgiveness, much needed after this heinous act took the lives of 5 innocent Amish girls. Elsie will be available to sign prints of “Happier Days” and other of her works available for sale at the gallery. This is a free event; there is no charge for the talk by Elsie.
